MISC.

RECEPTION:
February 13, 2016 from 7-10 PM

ON VIEW:
February 6, 2016 to February 27, 2016 Saturdays from 12-4 PM

The artists of Washington Street’s gallery and studios present a diverse group show for the month of February.  The show features photography, painting, sculpture, electronics, fabric arts, drawing, and things in between in “Misc.”

Wonder at the auditory delights of Mitch Shiles’ seashell; you’ll say OMG! At Marissa Falco’s Omnigon; is Lee Kilpatrick’s elaborately framed “Backstage” a photo of a “Misc. Lonelyhearts” or something more serious?  Black and white photographs from Eve-Tyler Hanig and Gretchen Graham are of both people and animals, and Chris Cavallero and Jill Comer have trompe l’oeil pieces that have you questioning the nature of drawing and squirrels.  Danielle Festa’s paintings examine issues of presentation through clothing, and Maritza Soto’s quilting reflects the geometricity of modern art.  Lauren Leone presents work she is making for the 5.4 Million project, and Mary Lewey displays some of her Illustrated Wildlife Treasury collages.
